My Story... Part 2
In the dance world everyone knows everyone. It's a small world so you become friends with people from all over your state, country and the world.
Switching Up The Cardio Routine
I am currently writing this from the Queensland Covid Drive through testing line. I’m not symptomatic but in Qld at the moment we have to test on day 5 of being in the state if we have traveled from a hotspot. I have been sitting here since 7:30am. It's now 11am and I’m still a little bit away. My iced coffee and good tunes has got me through the 3.5hr wait on Christmas Eve.
The chronicles of getting Jaxons back number correct for the Dancespace teams match…
1. Me doing it (it’s very wonky, as you can see) and I’m sure I stabbed him with the safety pins more than once
Our First Competition
We had our first comp yesterday. First comp as a partnership after almost 2 years of dancing together, first comp and also the last comp of the year. It was a bit of a nervous lead up having not danced together in a competition environment. It was filled with us trying to figure out what usually falls apart under pressure and focus on preventing that, eating well throughout the day and staying calm, cool and collected even though we were both excited, nervous and had lots of adrenaline running. I also had new hair, new makeup and a new dress and Jaxon was wearing his brand new suit. Everything was so new! But we couldn't wait to get out there and perform and compete and do what we’ve been training for. This competition was on the smaller side so there weren’t as many competitors in our events as there normally would be but it was still great to dance beside everyone.
My Story... Part 1
Part 1 of my story. My story is unfinished and I still have many many years of crazy and incredible experiences to come. But this is how it started...
I started ballet at the age of 3 and I loved it! I was known for it, at school, in my family and in the whole community. I was the ballerina. I was the youngest dancer in the Gold Coast dancers company, I danced for the Brisbane City Youth Ballet for 3 seasons and worked with some absolutely incredible coaches and teachers.
