Amber Cartner
(Miss Amber)

I started my dance career in the ballet world. I was the youngest dancer of the Gold Coast Dancers Company at the age of 6, danced 3 seasons with the Brisbane City Youth Ballet and became an accredited ARAD ballet dancer passing with distinctions. At the age of 13 I started competing in ballroom after being told I was too tall for ballet. I have had the opportunity to travel and compete in ballroom all around Australia and the world. I am incredibly honoured to be the global Ainsliewear Dancewear ambassador and an accredited PBT (Progressive Ballet Technique) trainer.
I am still a current competitor representing Australia on an international scale. I honoured to be working with Disney+, Disney Cruise Lines and Carnival Cruise Lines.
After having the opportunity to move to Wollongong and work with world renowned ballroom coaches (Alan & Donna Shingler) to further my career, I decided to open my own studio to spread my love and knowledge for dance to the future generation. Nurturing their creative flare and creating a fun and uplifting environment for your child to learn and develop in different styles of dance.

(Mr Jaxon)

I have always been a part of the dance industry. My parents are past Australian Dancesport Champions so I have been involved in studios since before I was born. I have sung and performed on stage from a very young age, but I ultimately found my passion in ballroom dancing. I have had the opportunity to travel around the world competing and have won many titles in Australia as well as in Malaysia and Singapore.
In January 2021, Amber and I moved to Wollongong to peruse our own dance careers and train with some of the best in the ballroom industry. Since moving to NSW I have had the opportunity to work with Disney+ as a choreographer and also be featured in various dance scenes. I am honoured to be a current guest artist on Disney Cruise Lines and Carnival Cruise Lines.

I love being apart of every child's journey and watching all the kids grow and develop into wonderful people and dancers.

Ruby Cartner
(Miss Ruby)

I started my dance career with Ballet at the age of three, it gave me an amazing base but It just wasn't my thing. I chatted too much at the barre and wanted to groove to more upbeat music. So at 7 years old, after watching Dancing With The Stars, I introduced ballroom and Latin into my dance world. I loved it! It has become my love and passion. I have won many titles including two Juvenile Australian Championships, two New Zealand titles and recently won the Adult Open Queensland title and made an Australian Semi final in the amateur field.
I am a fully qualified beauty therapist with 3 diplomas in beauty therapies, screen & media makeup and salon management. I am also honoured to work with Carnival Cruise Lines.
I just love to dance and also love the opportunities dance gives me to travel, compete, perform and learn.
I love being able to pass on my knowledge and experience to the little ones.

I initially started dancing at the age of 10. Always moving and grooving at home, I had a desire to be like the other girls in my grade at school. When I asked my mother to enrol me in classes, she suggested Physical Culture of Ballroom Dancing. Having already been exposed to the world of ballroom dancing through my older brother, who would take me along to his dance classes when I was only 6, I knew the beauty and elegance associated with it, which made my decision fairly easy. I also attended Jazz, JFH and Drama classes at Glenda Yee School of Dance in my final years of primary school, before deciding to commit all of my time and effort to my ballroom dancing. Since then, I have competed nationally over the years, placing highly in many competitions, and was an Australian finalist in 2017.
After completing my higher school certificate, I went on to study a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) at the University of Sydney. I work full time as a Speech Pathologist at a Private Clinic in the Inner West of Sydney. Everyday I support individuals of all ages and abilities to develop their communication. I bring the ability of catering to an individual’s needs to my dance teaching.
