Welcome

Welcome to Miss Amber Dance Academy. Our goal is to provide a safe, inclusive,
encouraging and professional environment where every student can thrive.

By enrolling at Miss Amber Dance Academy, parents and guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to these Studio Policies.

Enrolment
Enrolment is ongoing until written notice is received. Parents must keep emergency contacts, medical information and personal details current. The Academy reserves the right to accept, decline or terminate enrolments where necessary to protect the wellbeing of students or the operation of the Academy.

Fees and Payments
Invoices are payable by the due date. Accounts that become overdue may result in lessons being suspended. Competition entries, costumes and associated expenses must be paid by published deadlines.

Attendance & Cancellations
Students are encouraged to attend every lesson. Missed lessons are generally non-refundable. Private lesson cancellations should be advised with as much notice as possible. Chronic absenteeism may affect eligibility for performances and competitions.

Private Lessons
Private coaching is the foundation of our Academy. Lesson times are reserved exclusively for each student. Late arrivals will finish at the scheduled time. Teachers may occasionally reschedule lessons due to competitions, performances, illness or unforeseen circumstances.

Group Classes & Competition Teams
Group classes focus on performances, showcases and Dance Sport competitions. Placement is by invitation or teacher recommendation and is based on technical ability, commitment, maturity, behavior and team suitability. Students may be asked to continue private lessons before joining a group.

Performances & Competitions
Participation may require attendance at rehearsals, dress rehearsals and events. Teachers determine suitable entries and choreography remains the intellectual property of Miss Amber Dance Academy.

Dress Code
Students must wear appropriate dance attire, approved footwear and have long hair
securely tied back. Jewelry should be kept to a minimum. All competition attire is to be preapproved by Miss Amber

Student Behavior
Respect, kindness and good sportsmanship are expected at all times. Bullying, aggression, discrimination or unsafe behavior may result in suspension or termination of enrolment.

Parent Code of Conduct
Parents are expected to communicate respectfully with staff, support Academy decisions, avoid coaching from the sidelines and raise concerns privately and constructively.

Photography & Media
By enrolling, parents consent to photographs, videos and recordings being used for promotional, educational and archival purposes unless written notice opting out is provided. Every reasonable effort will be made to respect recorded non-consent preferences.

Child Safety
The Academy is committed to the NSW Child Safe Standards. Relevant staff hold current Working With Children Checks and appropriate First Aid/CPR qualifications.

Health, Medical & Inclusive Participation
Miss Amber Dance Academy is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to participate and enjoy dance. Parents and guardians are asked to advise the Academy of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, disabilities or additional support needs that may impact their child's participation. This information allows our teachers to provide a safe, supportive and enjoyable learning environment for every student.

We proudly welcome students who are self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants where dance lessons align with their individual goals and funding arrangements. Participation in classes remains subject to the student's ability to safely engage in activities, with reasonable adjustments made where practical and appropriate.
If a student's support needs require one-on-one assistance beyond what can reasonably be provided within a class environment, the Academy may discuss suitable options with the family to ensure the best possible experience for both the student and the wider class.

Insurance & Liability
The Academy maintains Public Liability Insurance and appropriate business insurance. Dance is a physical activity and carries inherent risks. Participation is at the student's own risk except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy
Personal information is collected solely for enrolment, communication and operation of the Academy and managed in accordance with Australian privacy legislation.

Communication
Official communication may occur via email, SMS, phone, social media or parent communication groups.
Parents are responsible for keeping contact details current.

Policy Updates
Policies may be amended periodically. The current version will always be available here on our website.
